Litesound is a Belarusian rock group .

history

From 2002 the brothers Dmitry and Vladimir Kariakin performed as an acoustic duo. They also won first place in a songwriting competition in the United States. From 2005 more musicians joined the group and Litesound was born. The band took part in the EuroFest from 2006 to 2009 , the Belarusian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest , but without winning. For 2012 they only came second, but the winner of the telephone voting , Aljona Lanskaja , was disqualified because it was assumed that the votes were “bought”. The band was therefore allowed to compete in the second semifinals of the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku with the pop-rock song We are the Heroes . However, the band could not qualify for the final two days later.
