Lola Marsh ( Hebrew לולה מארש) is an Israeli indie pop band from Tel Aviv . The group was founded in 2013 by Gil Landau and Yael Shoshana Cohen after they had previously played as a duo.
history
Gil Landau (guitar, keyboards) and Yael Shoshana Cohen (vocals) met in Tel Aviv in 2011. At first they played as a duo, wrote their own songs and after a while began to put together a band. With Mati Gilad (bass), Rami Osservaser (guitar, keyboards) - later replaced by Ran Gil (keyboards) - and Dekel Dvir (drums) they performed in local clubs and soon got a contract with the Anova Music label .
They became known to a larger audience through their performance at the Primavera Sound Festival 2014 in Barcelona . Her first single, Sirens , was released in March 2015 and reached number 5 on the Spotify list of the “Top 10 Most Viral Tracks in the US”. The song was later used in the television series Scream . After successful performances at festivals, they received contracts with Universal Music France and Sony ATV .
The second single You're Mine was released in May 2015 and reached the top 3 on Spotify's "Most Viral Tracks" as well as on Hype Machines "Most Popular Tracks". The band 's first EP of the same name was released in January 2016 .
In April 2016 they wrote the song Drift And Fall Again with Madsonik and Keith Power for the soundtrack of the film The Jerico Project with Kevin Costner , Gary Oldman , Tommy Lee Jones and Ryan Reynolds in the leading roles. The third single She's a Rainbow came out in May 2016.
In June 2017 the debut album Remember Roses was released , which made it into the Swiss hit parade . This was followed by appearances at major festivals in Europe and America, including the Paléo Festival Nyon , the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal and the Sziget Festival in Budapest .
