Lonitzberg is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Steinakirchen am Forst in the Scheibbs district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 97 building areas with 33,395 m² and 58 gardens on 219,246 m² in the cadastral community Lonitzberg , in 1989/1990 there were 98 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 179 and in 2009/2010 there were 142 buildings on 266 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 596 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 371 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 583 hectares and 401 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 577 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 394 hectares. Lonitzberg's average soil climate number is 27.6 (as of 2010).
