Lord of the Elves - The Age of Halflings (Original title: Clash of the Empires ) is an American fantasy - adventure film from the year 2012 , that of The Asylum was produced. Directed by Joseph J. Lawson , the screenplay was written by Eric Forsberg .

The original original title should be Age of the Hobbits and, in the tradition of the mockbusters of the studio The Asylum, should be marketed in the context of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey . As a result, there was a legal battle with Warner Bros. , New Line Cinema , MGM and a delay in publication.

The film is about a prehistoric conflict between a community of Homo floresiensis (called hobbits) and their brutal oppressor, the Java man ( Homo erectus ). To this end, the young hobbit Goben has to find allies among the early humans in order to free his people from the Java people together.
