Lorenz Friedrich von Puttkamer , also von Puttkammer , (born September 28, 1741 in Groß Nossin ; † January 20, 1814 there ) was a Prussian district administrator who headed the Flemming District in Western Pomerania from 1789 to 1805 .

Life

He was a member of the Puttkamer noble family . His father Franz Ludwig von Puttkamer (1713–1766) was the heir to Groß Nossin , where he owned the share of Groß Nossin (c) and on other estates; his mother Margarethe Sophie (around 1707–1780) was born by Boehn .

Puttkamer became a page with King Friedrich II. He entered the Prussian Army , where he rose to become captain . In 1764 he took his leave. After the death of his father in 1766 he inherited the Zemlin estate in the Flemming District .

After the death of district administrator Georg Christian von Puttkamer , he was elected as the new district administrator of the Flemming district. He asserted himself against members of the noble Flemming family , who claimed this office - the Flemming Circle was formed in the 17th century as one of the so-called family circles - for their family. Puttkamer remained district administrator until he left in 1805. He was now followed by Carl Berend Sigismund von Flemming, a member of the Flemming family.

The Groß Nossin estate, or to be more precise, the Groß Noßin (c) share, was transferred to his older brother Johann Wilhelm von Puttkamer by his father in 1766 while he was still alive. When he died in 1801, Lorenz Friedrich von Puttkamer inherited Groß Nossin.

Puttkamer was first married to Friederike Sophie, born von Steinwehr . After her death, he married Eleonore Dorothee Caroline, a daughter of Judicial Councilor Samuel Albrecht Moldenhauer. The second marriage resulted in two sons: Albert von Puttkamer (1797–1861) became district administrator in the districts of Czarnikau and Samter in the province of Posen and a member of the Prussian House of Representatives. Eugen von Puttkamer (1800–1874) became district administrator of the Randow district, later President of the Province of Posen.
