Lorenz Vilgertshofer

Lorenz Vilgertshofer (born January 27, 1900 in Finsing ; † April 4, 1998 in Stockdorf ) was a German administrative officer and politician ( CSU ).

Life and work

After attending school, Vilgertshofer worked in agriculture from 1914 to 1921 and worked as a construction worker from 1921 to 1934. He attended the Regensburg courses with Georg Heim in 1924/25 , acted from 1925 to 1933 as secretary of the Lower Bavarian Christian Farmers' Association in Landshut and was at the same time head of the accounting office there.

After the National Socialists came to power and the Christian Farmers' Association was dissolved, Vilgertshofer pursued commercial activities. From 1935 to 1948 he was a tax auditor and then chief auditor at the state tax office and the regional tax office in Munich . From 1948 to 1954 he was personal assistant to the Bavarian Minister of Agriculture Alois Schlögl , from 1957 to 1962 he was personal assistant to the Bavarian Minister of Agriculture Alois Hundhammer , most recently as Ministerialrat.

Political party

Vilgertshofer joined the CSU and was chairman of the CSU district association of Lower Bavaria from 1965 to 1970 .

MP

Vilgertshofer was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament from 1954 to 1970 and there from 1958 to 1962 chairman of the committee for questions of civil service law and pay.

Public offices

Vilgertshofer served from December 11, 1962 to December 8, 1970 as State Secretary in the State Ministry for Agriculture and Forests in the government of the Free State of Bavaria led by Prime Minister Alfons Goppel .

1969–1970 Vilgertshofer was the chairman of the organizational commission named after him, which worked out the basis for the great reform of the Bavarian state forest administration in 1973.
