Lothar Krapohl

Lothar Krapohl (born July 5, 1949 ) is a German social pedagogue , pedagogue , educational scientist, (teaching) supervisor and professor at the Catholic University of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

After studying social pedagogy from 1974 to 1979, Lothar Krapohl worked in youth work and as a consultant for adult education. In 1987 he began studying pedagogy, sociology and psychology at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH) Aachen, which he completed with a doctorate in educational sciences with Franz Pöggeler and Louis Lowy, Boston University USA. Since October 1980 he has worked as a lecturer at the Catholic University of North Rhine-Westphalia (KatHO NRW) (until 2008 KFH NW), Aachen department, from 1987 as a professor for didactics / methodology of social education, youth and adult education and supervision at this university.

From 1981 to 1983 he completed training as a supervisor at the then Academy for Youth Issues in Münster , and from 1987 to 1993 training as a Balint group leader at the “Fortbildungsinstitut für Supervision e. V. “(FIS) (then) in Münster (Gerhard Leuschner), as well as additional training as NLP practitioner 1989–1992 at the German Academy for Applied NLP. He also held visiting professorships in Spain, Italy, Great Britain, Hungary and the USA.
