Louis Jent (writer)
Louis Jent (born January 26, 1936 in Zurich ; † May 23, 2014 in Aarau ) was a Swiss writer , screenwriter , director and film producer .
Life
At the age of 17, Louis Jent published his first short story. After graduating from high school, he wrote literary and film reviews for Zurich Week and Der Sonntag . In 1963 he read from a chapter of a novel at the Group 47 meeting in Saulgau . 1965 his novel excuses ( Piper Verlag ), 1966, the short story collection Smile again Cynthia with the first German-language pop stories.
In 1967 he gave lectures on the subject of pop and literature , including at the Bauhaus Dessau . From 1967 to 1968 he worked as a screenwriter for Bavaria . From 1968 he directed television films based on his scripts. From 1971 to 1989 he also shot commercials for Louis Jent Productions . In 1989 he moved to Spain and built a house. At the end of the nineties he began to write again, short stories appeared in literary magazines and in NULL. Alt und Älter was reprinted several times (1st prize in the adult category in the short story competition "Old and Young" of the Health and Environment Department of the City of Zurich).
