Louis Joseph Reicher
Louis Joseph Reicher (born June 14, 1890 in Piqua , Ohio , USA ; † February 23, 1984 ) was Bishop of Austin .
Life
Louis Joseph Reicher received on 6 December 1918, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On November 29, 1947, Pope Pius XII appointed him . to the Bishop of Austin. The Bishop of Galveston , Christopher Edward Byrne , donated him episcopal ordination on April 14, 1948 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Lansing , Joseph Henry Albers , and the Coadjutor Bishop of Corpus Christi , Mariano Simon Garriga .
Reicher participated in all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council as a council father.
On November 15, 1971, Pope Paul VI. the resignation put forward by Louis Joseph Reicher for reasons of age.
