Louis Meyer (politician, 1802)

Louis Meyer (born August 23, 1802 in Burgdorf ; † February 8, 1889 in Hanover ) was a German businessman and politician . In 1848 he campaigned for freedom of the press in the Kingdom of Hanover .

Life

Louis Meyer ran the tobacco and cigar business L. Meyer & Co. together with his brother .

1843 Meyer became the District Director and 1846 for civil head selected. Senator Louis Meyer had been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Hannoversche Bank since 1869 .
