Louke Oakley (born April 7, 1989 in Whitby , Ontario ) is a Canadian ice hockey player ( striker ). Since July 2018 he has been under contract with EK Zell am See in the Alps Hockey League .

Career

Oakley began his career in the Ontario Provincial Junior Hockey League (OPJHL) with the Bowmansville Eagles, where he got 14 scorer points in 22 games in the first year. By 2008, he still collected 83 points in 63 games there before moving to league rivals St. Michael's Buzzers. At the end of the season he moved to Clarkson University in the US college league ECAC Hockey , where he played a total of 136 games by 2012 and scored 81 points. During the 2011/12 season, Oakley also made seven appearances for the Wheeling Nailers in the ECHL .

Subsequently, his path took him to Germany for the first time, where he was signed up by ESV Kaufbeuren . In the 2nd Bundesliga , however, with 37 points from 48 games, he could not meet the expectations of a contingent player. In the following season he played for three different clubs in the ECHL, but only made 39 appearances. Oakley has been back in Germany since the 2014/15 season and played in the major league for EV Regensburg in the corresponding season . With 51 goals in 38 games, he was the top scorer in the main league round in 2014/15 . Mid April 2015 Oakley signed a contract at the DEL2 gambling SC Riessersee , which was extended in May 2016 and in April 2017 a year each. On July 19, 2018, Oakley switched to EK Zell am See , which plays in the Alps Hockey League .
