Lovro Mesec Košir (born August 11, 1999 ) is a Slovenian sprinter who specializes in the 400-meter run .

Athletic career

Lovro Mesec Košir gained his first international experience in 2016 when he was eliminated from the first round of the European Youth Championships in Tbilisi in the 400-meter hurdles race with 56.80 seconds and did not finish in the Slovenian sprint relay (1000 meters) in the final got. The following year he reached the semi-finals at the U20 European Championships in Grosseto over 400 meters and was eliminated there with 48.51 seconds, while he failed with the 4 x 400 meter relay with 3: 16.90 minutes in the lead . In 2018 he was eliminated at the U20 World Championships in Tampere with 47.88 s in the preliminary round and the following year he reached the European Games in Minsk with the mixed 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 20.66 min Eleventh place. He then finished eighth in the U23 European Championships in Gävle in 47.32 seconds and retired from the relay with 3: 09.26 minutes in advance.

In 2018 and 2019, Mesec Košir became the Slovenian indoor champion in the 400-meter run.
