Lucien Jacques Marie Joseph Crépy CIM (born May 12, 1958 in Lille ) is a French clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Le Puy-en-Velay .

Life

Luc Crépy first studied biology and received his doctorate in this subject . He joined the religious order of Eudists and made perpetual profession on December 10, 1988 . He completed his theological training at the Institut Catholique de Paris with a degree in moral theology and was ordained a priest on May 21, 1989 .

From 1989 to 1995 he worked in the pastoral care of the Diocese of Évry-Corbeil-Essonnes . Then he was the rain of the interdiocesan seminary in Orléans until 2001 . From 2001 to 2007 he was Eudist Provincial for France and Africa and at the same time President of the Conference of Major Superiors of France. From 2006 to 2008 he was also papal commissioner for the religious province of the Society of the Daughters of the Heart of Mary in France and Switzerland. From 2007 to 2012 he was again at the seminary in Orléans and then as General Procurator in the direction of his order in Rome.

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Le Puy-en-Velay on February 12, 2015 . The Archbishop of Clermont , Hippolyte Simon , ordained him episcopal on April 12 of the same year. Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Evry-Corbeil-Essonnes , Michel Dubost CIM, and the Bishop of Limoges , François Kalist .
