Lucenzo (born May 27, 1983 in Bordeaux , France ; actually Filipe Oliveira ) is a Portuguese rapper and singer .

Career

Lucenzo was born on May 27, 1983 to Portuguese parents in the western French city of Bordeaux . He started playing the piano at the age of six and five years later, at the age of eleven, he discovered singing . Lucenzo has been a musician since 1998. He started out as a rapper and later moved on to reggaeton . His first album went largely unnoticed. He had his breakthrough in 2007 with Emigrante del mundo , which was published by Scorpio Music . It became a huge radio hit in France and established Lucenzo on the Latin American music scene.

In 2010 he worked with Big Ali on the title Vem dançar kuduro . The song became a dance hit and a summer hit in France, reaching number 2 on the charts. The success spread to Switzerland. The Puerto Rican Don Omar recorded a Spanish-Portuguese language version with Lucenzo called Danza Kuduro and published it in the USA. It reached number 1 on the US Latin charts. They reached number 15 in Spain. It is also featured on the official soundtrack of the film Fast & Furious Five . In 2012, he released the single Wine It Up with the Jamaican dancehall - singer Sean Paul which, however, could not come close to the success of Danza Kuduro. He only sang it at a few concerts. In 2015 he released the single "Vida Louca"

style

Lucenzo's music is heavily influenced by Latin beats , Kuduro and Reggaeton . There are also influences from Angolan and Portuguese music. He sings in French , Portuguese , Spanish and English .
