Luckhausen is a hamlet in the Swiss municipality of Illnau-Effretikon with 20 inhabitants (2018).
geography
Luckhausen lies at 571 m. ü. M. on the right side of the valley slope of the Kempt , 2 km from Illnau train station on the Effretikon – Hinwil line . To the east of Luckhausen is the hamlet of Agasul .
history
Traces of settlement show that people were already in the Luckhausen area in prehistoric times.
In 1905 Luckhausen was a "group of 6 houses" and had 43 Reformed residents.
Attractions
In Volume 3 of the Art Monuments of the Canton of Zurich from the series Die Kunstdenkmäler der Schweiz (1978), three Luckhausen houses are mentioned: A double farmhouse with the main substance from the 17th / 18th century. Century, a half-timbered farmhouse from 1865 and a doctor's house from 1826 in solid construction . A tiled stove by master Rudolf Scheller from Pfäffikon (1814) in the double farmhouse and “ fully paneled interiors from the time of construction” in the other farmhouse are mentioned in the interiors of these houses .

From Luckhausen lead back roads to other towns in the large-area municipality of Illnau-Effretikon: Agasul in the east, Ottikon bei Kemptthal in the northwest, and southwest to the main road 345 (Kempttalstrasse) and thus to Illnau.
Luckhausen itself is not connected to the public transport network. The closest public transport connections are the Illnau, Kirche and Ottikon bus stops near Kemptthal , from which Luckhausen can be reached on foot in around 25 minutes.
