In 2011 he won the national cup with the Northern French , in whose final he scored the winning goal as a substitute with a directly converted free kick to make it 1-0. He was also French champion in the 2010/11 season . On January 12, 2012 Obraniak signed a three-and-a-half year contract with league rivals Girondins Bordeaux and won the French Cup in 2013. He played a total of 68 league games for Girondins.

At the end of his first season at Werder, he was a substitute. Dissatisfied with this situation, he expressed his wish to move during the summer break, but couldn't find a new club and was no longer considered by Werder's coach Robin Dutt .
