The Luhan (colloquially also "Luhanka" / "Luganka"; Ukrainian Луга́нь ; Russian Lugan ) is a right, 198 km long tributary of the Siversky Donets in northeast Ukraine .

The Luhan arises in the northeast of the city of Horlivka in Donetsk Oblast . It flows mainly in an easterly direction into the Luhansk Oblast , flows through the city of Luhansk , and finally flows on the right side into the Siversky Donets. The Luhan is mainly fed by the snowmelt and drains an area of ​​3740 km². In summer, the river often dries for two months. The river is usually frozen between December and March. The Wuhlehirsk reservoir lies on the upper reaches of the Luhan with a thermal power plant on its bank. The largest tributaries are the Bila with 88 km length, the 83 km long Wilchiwka and the Losowa , which is 63 km long.
