Luis Bernabé Heredia (* around 1920 in Argentina , † February 3, 1951 probably in Guadalajara , Mexico ) was an Argentine football player in the position of goalkeeper .

Life

Heredia began his career with the Newell's Old Boys , for whom he made his debut on May 8, 1938 in a game against Central Córdoba . He played his first championship game in an official AFA tournament on March 19, 1939 in a 2-1 win over CA San Lorenzo de Almagro , to which he moved in early 1941.

After the Club Deportivo Oro was accepted into the Mexican professional football league for the 1944/45 season , Heredia was obliged by the Mulos . He became famous in a game of the same season in the Mexican Cup when he scored against Asturias (5: 3) "from penalty area to penalty area" against opposing goalkeeper "Tarzán" Landeros .

For the 1949/50 season, Heredia moved to city rivals Atlas Guadalajara , with whom he won both the Mexican Cup and the Supercup in August 1950 within just one week, each time with a 3-1 win over master CD Veracruz . He then returned to Club Oro, where he was under contract in his last season in 1950/51, before he suddenly died on February 3, 1951.
