Luitgardis Parasie (born August 15, 1954 in Neuwied ) is a German Protestant pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover , family therapist and author.

Life

Luitgardis Parasie grew up in Benefeld as the eldest of three sisters and the daughter of her Belgian father. After graduating from high school in Walsrode, she studied Protestant theology in Bethel , Heidelberg and Tübingen from 1972 to 1978 . During her studies, she attended a journalism course and wrote for the youth website of the Rheinischer Merkurs . Between the first theological exam in 1978 in Karlsruhe and the second in 1980 in Hanover, she spent the vicariate in Göttingen . From 1981 to 1993 she worked as a pastor in Sudershausen and was a vocational school pastor in Göttingen in 1994/95. Between 1994 and 1996 she completed additional training in systemic therapy and counseling at the Lower Saxony Institute in Hanover and the International Society for Systemic Therapy (IGST) in Heidelberg, as well as training in group training for social skills (GSK) in Berlin . She is a member of the German Society for Systemic Therapy and Family Therapy (DGSF), holds seminars at congresses of the Academy for Psychotherapy and Pastoral Care and is a speaker at breakfast meetings for women in Germany and at the Pinéa program group in Corsica.

Together with her fellow student Helmut Matthies , she was involved in the student mission (SMD) in Heidelberg . As an author , Parasie writes for various Christian magazines and, together with her husband, created a series of guides. She has been working for the evangelical news agency idea since 1978 . From 2012 to 2018 she was on the weekly radio show of NDR 1 “May I do that? - Questions of conscience in everyday life ”. Since then she has also worked on NDR 1 on the radio program “Zwischenentöne”. She also works for ERF Medien and as an author for the Neukirchen calendar. In April 2013 she appeared together with Christine Neubauer in a ZDF broadcast by Peter Hahne on the subject of film meets reality on Josh Broecker's television film The Pastor . In April 2016 she appeared again in the same series with Prime Minister Bernhard Vogel , this time on the topic: After death only praise? - How much truth fits the obituary?

From June 2000 until her retirement in April 2020, Parasie was pastor of the parish in Northeim- Langenholtensen with half a position . She is one of the founding members of the bi-monthly ecclesiastical magazine “Nortsicht”, an expanded community letter from three Protestant parishes in Northeim. In retirement, she wants to work as a holiday pastor on Juist and Langeoog, among other things.

She has been married to the theologian, doctor and psychotherapist Jost Wetter-Parasie since 1976. The couple have three children and live in Northeim .
