Lukas Brandweiner

Lukas Brandweiner (born May 28, 1989 in Gmünd , Lower Austria ) is an Austrian politician of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). He has been a member of the National Council since June 12, 2019 .

Life

After primary school in Wurmbrand, Lukas Brandweiner attended the Groß Gerungs secondary school and the Federal Commercial Academy and Federal Commercial School Zwettl , where he was deputy head boy in 2006/07 and graduated in 2008 . In 2007/08 he acted as state school spokesman and was a member of the federal student council , in 2008/09 he was state manager of the Lower Austrian Students' Union .

After his military service , he worked for a financial service provider and as an employee in Groß Gerungs. Brandweiner is a company group officer at the Lower Austrian Workers' Federation (ÖAAB).

politics

Brandweiner has been a member of the ÖVP since 2010. From 2010 to 2012 he was local chairman of the Young People's Party (JVP) Sitzmann . In 2011 he became district chairman of the JVP Zwettl and in 2013 he was regional chairman of the JVP Lower Austria. Since 2014 Chamber Council is the Chamber for Workers and Salaried Employees for Lower Austria , since 2015 is a member of the municipal council in Groß Gerungs. Brandweiner is a member of the regional board of the Lower Austrian Workers' Union (ÖAAB) and deputy district chairman of the NÖAAB Zwettl.

In 2017 he was a candidate for the National Council election for the Waldviertel regional constituency and in the Lower Austrian constituency . On June 12, 2019 he was in the XXVI. Legislative period as a member of the National Council . He moved up for Angela Fichtinger , who renounced her mandate.

After the National Council election in 2019 and the formation of the Federal Government Kurz II in January 2020, he was appointed in the XXVII. Legislative period in the ÖVP parliamentary club Area spokesman for community service .
