Sitzmanns is a locality and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Groß Gerungs in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 40 building areas with 17,909 m² and 28 gardens on 12,054 m² in the cadastral community Sitzmanns , in 1989/1990 there were 40 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 116 and in 2009/2010 there were 55 buildings on 108 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 261 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 103 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 246 hectares and 116 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 228 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 119 hectares. The average floor climate of Sitzmanns is 19.9 (as of 2010).
