Egres is a locality and, as Eggress, a cadastral community of the municipality of Groß Gerungs in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .
Settlement development
At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 19 building areas with 6,210 m² and 15 gardens on 7,546 m² in the cadastral community Eggress , in 1989/1990 there were 19 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 45 and in 2009/2010 there were 27 buildings on 48 building areas.
Land use
The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 85 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 55 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 83 hectares and 57 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 76 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 57 hectares. The average soil climate number of Eggress is 15.7 (as of 2010).
