Albern is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Groß Gerungs in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 25 building areas with 7,271 m² and 14 gardens on 2,624 m² in the cadastral municipality of Albern , in 1989/1990 there were 24 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 65 and in 2009/2010 there were 34 buildings on 65 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 90 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 69 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 87 hectares and 70 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 76 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 76 hectares. The average soil climate number of Albern is 16.9 (as of 2010).
