Aigen is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Groß Gerungs in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 19 building areas with 7,897 m² and 4 gardens on 337 m² in the cadastral community of Aigen , in 1989/1990 there were 19 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 55 and in 2009/2010 there were 34 buildings on 54 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 77 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 42 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 69 hectares and 49 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 58 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 55 hectares. Aigen's average soil climate number is 16.7 (as of 2010).
