Ober Neustift is a town and, as Oberneustift, a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Groß Gerungs in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there was a total of 81 building areas with 30,467 m² and 15 gardens on 9,691 m² in the cadastral community Oberneustift , in 1989/1990 there were 81 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 213 and in 2009/2010 there were 146 buildings on 275 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 445 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 265 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 405 hectares and 296 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 381 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 300 hectares. The average soil climate of Oberneustift is 20.3 (as of 2010).
