Thail is a locality and a cadastral municipality of the municipality of Groß Gerungs in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 65 building areas with 22,254 m² and 16 gardens on 2,530 m² in the cadastral municipality of Thail , in 1989/1990 there were 65 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 183 and in 2009/2010 there were 113 buildings on 182 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 255 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 164 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 242 hectares and 174 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 218 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 183 hectares. The average soil climate number of Thailand is 17.2 (as of 2010).
