Lukas Schweighofer (born April 1986 in Styria ) is an Austrian television and radio presenter .

life and career

Lukas Schweighofer grew up in Anger in Styria. He studied sports management media at the University of Salzburg , graduating in 2011 with a master's degree with a thesis on staging in media sports using the example of the series of injuries in the 2009/10 Ski World Cup .

During his studies he completed an assessment center for an internship at ORF in 2007 , where he drew attention to himself with a parody by Hansi Hinterseer . From 2008 to 2012 he worked as a weather and traffic editor and live reporter for Radio Salzburg , where he also presented the radio show Guten Morgen Salzburg from 2012 to 2016 . From 2013 to 2016 he presented the news program Salzburg today on ORF 2 .

In March 2016, he started as one of the two main presenters alongside Eva Pölzl on the then new ORF breakfast television, Guten Morgen Österreich, and ran the program with a presenter from the respective ORF regional studios in the federal states of Upper Austria, Lower Austria, Tyrol and Salzburg until October 2017. From August 21, 2017 to December 21, 2018, he alternately presented - originally also with Eva Pölzl, then mostly with Nina Kraft - the ORF early evening magazine Daheim in Austria . Due to this function, he moderated Guten Morgen Austria from October 2017 only for issues from Vorarlberg. In his place, Jan Matejcek became the additional main presenter. In the last edition of Home in Austria , Schweighofer announced that in the future he would be more often on duty at Guten Morgen Österreich .

In addition to his work for radio and television, he also works as an event host.
