Luke Ford (born March 26, 1981 in Vancouver , Canada ) is an Australian actor .

life and career

Born in Vancouver in 1981, Ford first appeared in various television series before starring as an autist in the feature film The Black Balloon . In 2008 the film won the Transparent Bear in the Generation 14Plus category . Ford also took on roles in various Australian television series, such as McLeod's Daughters and Water Rats . He was also shortlisted for a Logie Award in the Best New Talent category for his portrayal of Craig Woodland . In 2007 he took on a role alongside Brendan Fraser , Maria Bello and John Hannah in The Mummy: The Tomb of the Dragon Emperor , the third part of the mummy series in which he plays Alexander Rupert O'Connell . In 2010, the director David Michôd cast him in his crime drama Kingdom of Crime alongside actors such as Ben Mendelsohn , Joel Edgerton and Guy Pearce . The film Red Dog followed in 2011 . In 2015, Luke Ford starred in the Australian science fiction horror thriller Infini, directed by Shane Abbess, alongside Luke Hemsworth .
