Lustfinger (own spelling: LustfingeR ) is one of the oldest punk bands in Germany. The band was founded in October 1981 in Lohhof near Munich .

Band history

In 1984 the first Lustfinger album Harte Men Don't Dance was made with Michi Schirmeister from The Schrott (vocals), Tom “Foug” Fock (guitar), Robert “Dutto” Baier (drums) and Alfons Gossner (bass). Goßner was replaced in 1986 by Ziggy Storbeck from ZSD . In the same year Lustfinger released the album Last Tractor to Kremlin , which was also played on US radio. The band then embarked on a two-week US tour, mostly playing at college parties . The contact came about through various radio stations. The band has toured Europe with various popular groups such as The Exploited , The Ramones , The Toy Dolls , Peter and the Test Tube Babies and The Pogues .

Günter "Schenki" Bayer played in one of the line-ups at the time. In a Bravo interview, it was assumed that it would be the illegitimate son of Heinz Schenk . The Bild newspaper took up the Bravo interview and printed several articles. An interview with Schenk under the heading “I'll shut up this punk” was also published by Bild. After the threat of legal action, the story was finally cleared up.

In 1988 the album Gassenhauer was released , which hit the indie charts. The decoupled singles Abschied also means beginning and so many women were able to place themselves at the top of the indie charts. In 1990 Lustfinger released the album Alles im Griff .

In 1991 the band separated from the then singer Michael Michi Schirmeister.

In 1992 the album No Mercy for Jesse James was released , produced by Wesley Plass and Mike "Spike" Streefkerk. From then on, Tom “Foug” Fock took over the vocal part, after a suitable singer could not be engaged. "Werner Schultheiss" (Ex-Das Leben) and Chris "Yps" Limburg (Ex-Vice, Ex-Wet Paint) then took over the guitars.

With Andrè Kaisler (guitar) and Harry Bischoff (drums) the line-up changed again in 1994. At the end of 1994, the mini album Alles Lie was published. A video for the theme song was filmed in Las Vegas . Shortly afterwards Ziggy Storbeck left the band. Holger "Holgi" Schulten replaced him. In addition, a new guitarist was added with Roman Riondo Holler.

In 1996 the sixth album was released under the name  6 . In 1998 Tom "Foug" Fock had an operation on his cervical spine , which forced the band to take a break. The recovery process took almost two years. The band was on hold and the individual members passed the time with several projects. In the summer of 2000 a farewell concert was given for the old line-up at the Munich Theatron : Holger Schulten (bass), Andrè Kaisler (guitar), Roman Holler (guitar) and Harry Bischof (drums) had decided to leave the band.

Tom "Foug" Fock contacted "Yps" Limburg again. Together they worked on the new Lustfinger album Eiszeit , which was released in May 2002. The song Grünwalder Stadion was dedicated to TSV 1860 Munich and distributed free of charge to TSV 1860 fans at the TSV 1860– Hamburger SV home game .

On October 13, 2001 the band played their first concert with the line-up Tom “Foug” Fock (vocals), Chris “Yps” Limburg (guitar), Roman “Riondo” Holler (guitar), Dariusz Sarna (bass) and Jürgen “Bam Bam “Wiehler (drums). In the same year, the song Westpoint was specially produced for Aggressiv Noise, which published it in October 2001 on the Munich punksampler Punk Over Munich . Live and with a new line-up with Tom “Foug” Fock (vocals), Chris “Yps” Limburg (guitar), Roman “Riondo” Holler (guitar), Hermann Bräuer (bass) and Jürgen “Bam Bam” Wiehler (drums) answered LustfingeR returned to the fans on Oct. 13, 2001 in the Kunstpark Ost / Colosseum.

In 2002 LustfingeR released her new album Eiszeit in May . The cover version of the Neue Deutsche Welle classic Eisbär was used over 700 times nationwide on the radio. Even in the USA the title was played on the radio. The following series of club concerts ended on December 26, 2002 at the Christmas Pogo Festival in Chemnitz in front of over 1,000 fans.

In 2003 LustfingeR toured the clubs in Germany and played nationwide at open airs, including with Reamonn, H-Blockx, Die Happy, Liquido.

For some time now, singer Tom “Messerfocke” Fock has devoted himself to other projects. B. hired as a singer for the title songs of the TV series Beyblade and Detective Conan . At the same time he founded the band Linda Loves Lychees with Chris “Yps” Limburg and started his own project called FOCK. After the open-air concerts, Messerfocke played several concerts with Linda Loves Lychees. The band ended when singer Linda moved to the United States. In 2004 Fock joined the Hanoverian band Michel and the Bergedorfer as a guitarist. This resulted in a CD, which was followed by live concerts. In between, Focke worked as a studio singer.

On December 4, 2004, after twelve years, LustfingeR gave a reunion concert with the “original line-up”. Talks and discussions about further concerts and a new CD followed. In 2005, Aggressive Noize asked LustfingeR for a musical contribution in the “original line-up” for their Punk sampler series in Munich . Michi, Ziggy, Dutto and Foug "Messerfocke" took up the title Holy for it. Although the collaboration within the band was positive, there were no further projects for the time being.

In 2006 Messerfocke went to the Sky Studio in Taufkirchen with Holger "Holgi" Schulten and drummer Jürgen "Bam Bam" Wiehler to record and produce the new LustfingeR CD. The album was mixed and mastered by Bobby Altvater. The album was released in November 2006. Achtung Heilig had the most pre-orders of all LustfingeR productions. The band presented Achtung Heilig live in German clubs. Radio broadcasts all over Germany, Radio Goethe in the USA and tour requests from the USA and Brazil followed. An MTV- compatible video was shot for the song Heilig . The live line-up consisted of Jürgen Wiehler (drums), Werner Weninger (bass), Stefan Sailer (guitar), Roland Vencelj (guitar). Roland Vencelj left the guitarist in 2010 and was replaced by Chris Klinke in 2011.

After club concerts, LustfingeR performed the song Löwenmut as part of the 150th anniversary of TSV 1860 Munich . In 2012, at the invitation of the association, the new 1860 anthem Wir sind die Löwen was written. The song was officially presented for the first time at the league opener in front of 45,000 spectators in the home stadium. The sampler followed a short time later.

In 2013, after 25 years, the band switched from BSC Music to Golden Core Records, a sub-label of ZYX Music. LustfingeR signed a publishing contract with Enorm Music and reorganized. Drummer Alex Stinson joined them, as did guitarist Amon Horngacher and bassist Wechsi Dee Faith. In 2014 the new CD Zündstoff was released .

In August 2016, the Munich drummer Tommy Wagner ( Cherie Currie , Bonfire) was hired at short notice to replace Alex Stinson , and shortly afterwards became a permanent member of the band. Dariusz Sarna returns and will take over the bass until November 2016. At the end of 2016, Amon Horngacher and Steff Sailer left the band at their own request and were replaced by guitarists Mike Strinxx and Dietmar Graminger in January. From now on, the position of bassist will be occupied by Tom Schill.

In spring 2017 LustfingeR will be on tour in Germany, followed by several open air festivals in summer.

Dietmar Graminger leaves the band in 2018 and is replaced by guitarist Danny Raygun (Raygun Rebels, Cherie Currie). In April, the album "We know what we want" appears, which stylistically follows the Lustfinger albums of the 80s. LustfingeR tour clubs all over Germany.

On April 12, 2019, the album "There is nothing to regret" will be released under a new label and management, produced by Jörg "Warthy" Wartmann (Eisbrecher, Unheilig).
