Lutz Kreutzer (born September 20, 1959 in Stolberg / Rhineland ) is a German writer , geologist and manager .

Life

After attending primary school in Gressenich , he attended the Goethe-Gymnasium in Stolberg, where he graduated from high school in 1979. Kreutzer studied geology at RWTH Aachen University and received a scholarship from the Swedish krona for his diploma. He later worked as an alpine geologist in the high mountains, on which he wrote his dissertation. In 1990 he went to the Federal Geological Institute in Vienna on a grant from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation . He then worked for the Austrian Academy of Sciences and in 1993 became assistant to the chief director of the Federal Geological Institute, where he wrote about the geological development of the Devonian in Austria and led a nature conservation project, the GAIAs Sterne project. In 1996 Kreutzer became a managing director of GEOBIT Ingenieur-Gesellschaft mbH in Aachen . In 2000 he moved his professional focus to Munich to take on the position of senior content manager at Freedomland ITN GmbH. Later he was appointed CTO Europe (head of development) and head of PR. From 2004 to 2006 Kreutzer worked as a lecturer at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences . In 2004 he moved to MVTec Software GmbH, where he worked for ten years as a PR and marketing manager. For MVTec he wrote for international trade and industry magazines, including about the first robot astronaut on the ISS, the Robonaut, in cooperation with NASA.

During his school days Kreutzer had already written for the Aachener Zeitung (formerly Aachener Volkszeitung AVZ) as a local reporter mainly about music events. He also provided reports for the Austrian university newspaper and for Alpine Club yearbooks. He was one of the founding editors of the German internet daily RegioBlick . He wrote technical and non-fiction books as well as reports and reports on high-tech as well as culinary topics.

The main focus of his prose book publications have so far been crime novels and thrillers, which have been published by Emons Verlag and Bergverlag Rother , among others , but also as purely self- published publications . As a self-publisher , he has also published non-fiction e-books and has been the organizer of the Self-Publishing Day since 2016 .

Kreutzer is a member of the syndicate , the AIEP Austria (Association for the Promotion of Austrian Crime Literature), the Association of German Writers and the Self-Publishers Association .
