Lyubov Denisova

Lyubov Denissowa ( Russian Любовь Денисова , English transcription Lyubov Denisova ; born October 6, 1971 ) is a Russian marathon runner .

In 2001 she won the Grandma's Marathon , finished seventh in the Great North Run , won the Long Beach Marathon and came fourth in the Hong Kong Marathon . The following year she won the Los Angeles Marathon and came second in the New York City Marathon . In 2003 she finished second in the Boston Marathon and fifth in New York City, in 2004 sixth in Boston and third in New York City. In 2005, another victory in Los Angeles was followed by a ninth place in New York City, in 2006 she was third in Los Angeles and won the Honolulu Marathon .

On March 20, 2007, she was tested positive for the anabolic steroid Prostanozol and testosterone during a training control and banned for two years because of this violation of the doping regulations .
