Geographical location
The Mühlberg is located in the Thuringian Forest Nature Park between the villages of Deesbach in the west- south- west, Oberweißbach in the west and Meura in the east-northeast, directly on the Leibis-Lichte dam , which surrounds the mountain in the north. Neighboring mountains are the Aßberg ( 706.4 m ) in the southeast and the Rauhhügel ( 802 m ), the Mutzenberg ( 769.6 m ) and the Spitze Berg ( 790.3 m ) in the south.
