The Mühlgraben , sometimes also referred to as Heidelbach , is an originally 1.1 km long right branch of the Wipper in the area of the town and rural community of Bleicherode , more precisely in the Nohra district in the Nordhausen district in Thuringia .

The Mühlgraben once branched off to the right after Kinderode from the Wipper, which flows eastwards here, and flowed into an arch that swept south towards Nohra ; At the moment, however, there is no longer any discernible weir that would divert water from the Wipper into the Mühlgraben. The upper course is therefore silted up, but a number of trees and trees line the former course and make its course still recognizable today. Further down the stream, an overhead line spans the water, which comes from the Wolkramshausen substation.
Shortly before reaching the Nohra settlement boundary, the first tributary from the right flows into the Mühlgraben. This side stream, which is noticeably longer than the previous Mühlgraben, rises north of Münchenlohra at 310 m above sea level. NHN on the edge of the Hainleite , because of its larger catchment area, at least today it is the main hydrological source of the Mühlgraben. The second tributary from the center of Nohra that soon follows is a shorter drainage ditch. One of these two streams is called Heidelbach , which one is unclear. The subsequent lower course of the Mühlgraben is also known as the Heidelbach; A Nohra restaurant near the river in the area of these two tributaries also bears the name Zum Heidelbach . The Mühlgraben now turns a little northwards and flows into the Unstrut tributary Wipper from the right at the edge of the Nohra sports field .
