The Mülsenbach is an approximately 17 km long right tributary of the Zwickauer Mulde in the foothills of the Western Ore Mountains in the Free State of Saxony . It flows through the Mülsengrund, named after him, with seven of the eight districts of the municipality of Mülsen near Zwickau.
Surname
The name is derived from the Slavic Milsena for "small hollow".

The Mülsenbach rises south of the Mülsen district of Ortmannsdorf near the A 72 at the “Waldschänke” car park between the “Hartenstein” and “Zwickau-Ost” exits in the area of the Hartenstein district of Zschocken . It flows in a north-westerly direction through the 17 km long Mülsengrund and passes the Mülsen districts of Ortmannsdorf, Mülsen St. Niclas, Mülsen St. Jacob, Mülsen St. Micheln, Stangendorf, Thurm and Niedermülsen. Shortly before its mouth, the Mühlgraben branches off in Niedermülsen and flows back into the stream a few kilometers downstream. The Mülsenbach flows into the Zwickau Mulde on the corridor of the Zwickau district of Schlunzig .
