Mściwojów (German Profen ) is a village in the powiat Jaworski in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Poland. Mściwojów is also the seat of the rural municipality of the same name .
geography
Mściwojów is located six kilometers east of the city of Jawor and 55 kilometers west of Wroclaw . The Wierzbiak River runs through the village.
history
The village was first mentioned in the second half of the 13th century.
Until 1945 Profen was a municipality in the district of Jauer , administrative district of Liegnitz in the province of Silesia .
From 1975 to 1998 Gmina Mściwojów was part of the Legnica Voivodeship .

The Mściwojów commune covers an area of 71.83 km² of which 88% is used for agriculture. 3% of the community area is forested. Approx. The former Groß-Rosen concentration camp is located 4 km south of the community .
