The Baltic Princess is a ferry that is used by Silja Line on regular services between Stockholm and Turku . The Baltic Princess was delivered to Tallink in 2008 and initially operated on the route from Helsinki to Tallinn until January 2013. Sister ships are the Baltic Queen and the Galaxy .

history

The construction of the ship was commissioned in 2005. The stern was built at Aker Yards shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, and laid down on November 14, 2006. In April 2007 the stern was transferred to Finland. The christening took place on March 6, 2008, the launch on March 9, 2008 in Helsinki. The ship's godmother was Eva Hanschmidt, the daughter of the Estonian bank clerk and businessman Ain Hanschmidt. The ship was delivered on July 10, 2008 and put into service on July 15, 2008 on the Tallinn - Helsinki route .

On October 31, 2008, the ship collided with the Superfast VII in Helsinki .

Since January 23, 2013, the ship has been sailing under the Finnish flag with home port Mariehamm. Since February 1, 2013, the ship has been sailing for the Silja Line brand on the Turku (Åbo) - Långnäs / Mariehamn - Stockholm route.
