Maciej Wilusz (born September 25, 1988 in Wroclaw ) is a Polish football player . The 1.88 m tall defender has been under contract with Rostov since 2017 .
Career
Maciej Wilusz was born in Breslau and grew up there. He went through all of Śląsk Wrocław's youth teams before moving to the Netherlands for SC Heerenveen in 2005 . At first he was only active in the youth team. In 2007 he was then appointed to the squad of the professional team. However, he did not make his debut in the Dutch Eredivisie and was sold to Sparta Rotterdam after the season . Here, however, he injured his knee severely and had to be operated on several times. The contract with Sparta Rotterdam was terminated by mutual agreement at the end of the season. Wilusz was only able to return to professional football in 2010 and signed with the Polish second division club MKS Kluczbork . Here he completed 19 league games in his first season, but could not prevent relegation. In the 2011/12 season he only played third rate. But so well that he was signed by second division GKS Bełchatów in 2012 . Then he switched to Lech Posen , with whom he celebrated the championship title in 2015 . Wilusz was awarded to Korona Kielce for half a year before moving permanently to FK Rostow in 2017 .
In 2014 he was called up by the Polish national coach Adam Nawałka , surprisingly as a second division player in the national team. He made his debut in the senior national team of Poland on January 18, 2014 in a 3-0 win in a friendly against Norway .
