action

Wanted for theft, Rita flees with her baby from Germany to Belgium, where she tries to find her birth father. He is anything but enthusiastic about her appearance. A little later, Rita is arrested. After serving a prison sentence, she takes her mother's four other children to live with her and tries to lead a normal family life with a US soldier. But Rita soon plunges back into her unsteady past life.

The film had its world premiere as part of the 37th International Forum for New Cinema, Berlinale 2007 . The theatrical release in Germany followed on December 6, 2007.
