Mae Mercer

Mae Mercer (born June 12, 1932 in Battleboro , Rocky Mount , North Carolina , † October 29, 2008 in Northridge , California ; actually Mary Ruth Mercer ) was an American actress .

Life

Mercer came in the 1960s as a blues - singer in Paris and toured with Keith Smith Climax Jazz Band through Europe. In the 1970s followed a career as an actress in the United States, in addition to guest roles in various television series , she also had appearances in films , including in 1971 Cheated and Dirty Harry by Don Siegel , each with Clint Eastwood in the lead role. In 1974 she played in the B-Movie Football Match and Sweet Girls , which was selected by Quentin Tarantino for the 1996 Quentin Tarantino Film Fest in Austin , Texas . In 1977 she had a supporting role in the drama Pretty Baby with Keith Carradine and Susan Sarandon .
