Magnus Dahl (born September 28, 1988 in Oslo ) is a former Norwegian handball player .

Career

Magnus Dahl played in Norway for Nordstrand IF, Follo HK and Fyllingen Håndball , with whom he won the championship in 2009. With Fyllingen he played in the season 2008/09 in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and 2009/10 in the EHF Champions League . In 2010 the 1.98 meter tall and 96 kilogram handball goalkeeper moved to Paris Handball in France . In the 2012/13 season he guarded the goal in the Spanish ASOBAL league at Atlético Madrid and was under contract with the German Bundesliga club HSG Wetzlar from summer 2013 . In January 2015, his contract with Wetzlar was terminated by mutual agreement. From February 1, 2015 Dahl was under contract with the Swedish first division club IFK Kristianstad until the end of the 2014/15 season , with whom he won the Swedish championship. After the end of the season he joined the Danish club Skjern Håndbold . With Skjern he won the Danish Cup in the 2015/16 season. He ended his career after the 2016/17 season.

Magnus Dahl made 53 international appearances for the Norwegian national team . He was in the squad for the 2011 World Cup as well as for the 2012 and 2014 European Championships , where he was the best goalkeeper of the tournament in three preliminary rounds with 47% held balls.
