The Alpengasthof Mahdegg-Alm is located at an altitude of 1200 m on the southwest side of the striking Tennengebirge in Pongau ( Salzburger Land ).
Management
It has been managed by the Huber family from Pfarrwerfen for generations and is a very popular excursion destination in the Werfen / Werfenweng area . Until a few years ago, guests were able to drive to the hut by car via a toll road, but the decision was made to block this and since then the Mahdegg-Alm is only accessible on foot.
The excursion destination with a view of the valley of the Salzach and the Hochkönig towering opposite is a starting point for mountaineers who can go on longer mountain tours, cross plateau crossings and, in winter, ski tours in the Tennengebirge.
