Mahmud al-Ayyubi

Mahmud al-Ayyubi ( Arabic محمود الأيوبي, DMG Maḥmūd al-Ayyūbī ; * 1932 ; † October 11, 2013 ) was a Syrian politician and member of the Ba'ath Party . He belonged to the liberal wing of this party. He served his country as Prime Minister under President Hafiz al-Assad from December 21, 1972 to August 7, 1976 . During his tenure, the 1973 October War against Israel fell .
