Ata al-Ayoubi

Ata Bey al-Ayyubi ( Arabic عطا الأيوبي ʿAtā al-Ayyūbī ; * March 25, 1877 in Damascus , Ottoman Empire ; † December 21, 1951 ibid) was an Ottoman civil servant and Syrian politician .

Born into a Sunni- Muslim family in Damascus known for their political activities , he studied public administration in Istanbul and began a professional career in the Ottoman administration in 1908.

During the French mandate , Ata Bey was Prime Minister from February 22 to December 21, 1936 and President of the Syrian Republic from March 25 to August 17, 1943 .
