Maicon Pereira Roque or Maicon (born September 14, 1988 in São Paulo , Brazil) is a Brazilian soccer player who is under contract with al-Nasr .
Career
Maicon began his career in 2007 in the Brazilian first division at Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte and was loaned to the second division club Associação Desportiva Cabofriense a season later. Another season later, he moved to Europe for the Portuguese club Nacional Funchal , with whom he qualified for the Europa League . Having become aware of his constant performance, FC Porto signed Maicon in 2009 for a transfer fee of 2.20 million euros. Here, too, he convinced with his performance and is one of the regulars. In the spring of 2016 Maicon was loaned to São Paulo FC and later committed for 12.00 million euros. He was used 35 times and scored 2 goals.
On June 30, 2017 Maicon switched to the traditional Turkish club Galatasaray Istanbul . At the end of the 2017/18 season Maicon became Turkish champions with Galatasaray, he came to 30 league games and scored five goals. On August 23, 2018, Maicon, Galatasaray and Al-Hilal agreed on a loan deal. However, the Saudi Arabian club submitted the necessary documents too late, which meant that the transfer did not take place.
On February 4, 2019, Maicon switched to al-Nasr on loan to Saudi Arabia . Al-Nasr paid a loan fee of 1.7 million euros and his loan contract ran until the end of the 2019/20 season. At the beginning of August 2020, al-Nasr signed him for a transfer fee of 1.43 million euros.
