The Malasar Peak (English; Bulgarian връх Маласар wrach Malassar ) is a 2980 m high and partly freezing mountain in the main ridge of the northern Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains in the west Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises 2.26 km northeast of Mount Dalrymple , 10.15 km southwest of Mount Malone , 9.9 km west of Mount McKeown and 8.53 km northwest of Mount Schmid from a 9.15 km long ridge that extends from the Mount Dalrymple extends in an east-northeast direction to Robinson Pass . The Embree Glacier is southeast, the Sabazios Glacier is north of it.
American scientists mapped it in 1961. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2014 after the medieval fortress Malassar in southern Bulgaria .
