history

After Ernst Lohmann founded the Malche Biblical House in 1898 , the Frauenmission Malche eV was founded on March 23, 1900 . V. Its members used a barn built in 1910 for worship. The parishioners installed an organ there in 1939 . In the 1950s, however, the structure had become dilapidated and had to be demolished. The Bad Freienwalder architect Gerhard Bischof designed a new building in 1957, which was implemented in the same year. The Malche Church was one of two new church buildings in what was then the Bad Freienwalde district . In 1961 the parish installed a new organ in the building.

Building description

South view with church tower

The structure was essentially built from bricks , which were then plastered . The building rests on a base made of field stones that come from the foundation walls of the demolished barn. The nave is comparatively simple. On the north side of the nave are five pressed-segment arched windows that are evenly distributed over the facade. On the west side is a small indented extension with a rectangular floor plan. It can be entered from the west through a simple gate. There is a rectangular window on the north wall. The west wall of the ship is otherwise windowless. There are two small, tall rectangular windows in the gable . The south side of the nave is also equipped with five pressed-segment arched windows. This is followed by the church tower in the south to the east . It is transversely rectangular and has a segment-shaped panel on its west side into which a rectangular gate is let. Above it is a small, upright rectangular window. On the south side there is initially a rectangular window, above each two smaller, also rectangular windows. In the bell storey there are two round arch- shaped sound arcades on the west and east sides ; one each on the north and south side. The ship and tower have a simple gable roof ; the tower a cross. In earlier times there was a party cellar below the church, in which apples were also stored. It was therefore popularly known as the apple box .

Furnishing

The church furnishings are uniform and come from the time the church was built. There is a simple wooden cross on the altar wall. The altar , the pulpit and the lectern were created by an artist from Schwerin . The organ from 1961 comes from the organ builder Hermann Eule from Bautzen .

Two bronze bells hang in the tower , which were made by the bell caster Martin Heinsius from Neustadt (Dosse) and cast in 1686.
