Mali Harries

Mali Rhys Harries (born July 6, 1976 in Cardiff , South Glamorgan ) is a Welsh theater and film actress .

Life

Harries attended Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaf and then graduated from Bristol Old Vic Theater School in 1997. She had her first film role while studying in 1996 in the television film The Levels . From 2002 to 2007 she played the role of Jane Milner in four episodes of the television series Foyle's War . In 2010 she was seen in eight episodes of the television series Pen Talar as Sian Lewis .

From 2010 to 2013 she played the role of Megan Evans in a total of 15 episodes of the television series The Indian Doctor . She was awarded the BAFTA CYMRU for her performance. Between 2013 and 2016 she played the character DI Mared Rhys Inspector Mathias - Murder in Wales . For this she received a second BAFTA CYMRU. 2015 followed nine episode appearances in Critical as Nerys Merrick . Most recently, she appeared in eight episodes of the television series Keeping Faith as Bethan Price in 2017 .

Harries is the daughter of actor Phylip Harries and harpist Mags Harries . She has been married to actor Matthew Gravelle since 1999 . The couple has two children. Her brother-in-law is the actor Andrew Teilo .
