Maman & I (Original Title: Mère et Fille ; to German mother and daughter ) is a French youth - sitcom of the Walt Disney Company , which is produced by J2F Productions and Yaka Productions. The first three seasons were first broadcast in France from 2012 to 2014, and another season in 2017. The German-language first broadcast has been on Disney Channel since March 28, 2016 .

The short series follows the everyday life of 14-year-old Barbara Marteau and her 39-year-old mother Isabelle. While the schoolgirl Barbara is in the middle of puberty, her single mother, a lawyer, has increasingly problems with getting older. Despite various disputes and bans on going out, mother and daughter are inseparable. In the 4th season (2017) Barbara is now 16 years old.

On February 5, 2016, the French Disney Channel broadcast the Disney Channel Original Movie Maman & Ich: California Dream for the series. In the approx. 80-minute film there are not only well-known characters from the series but also new characters. Among other things, the US actress Laura Marano plays, who played the main character Ally in the Disney Channel series Austin & Ally . The film was produced by J2F Productions and Yaka Productions on behalf of The Walt Disney Company France.
In Germany, the Disney Channel Original Movie premiered on July 16, 2016 on the Disney Channel .
