Mana - The power of things (original title: Mana - Beyond belief ) is a documentary by Peter Friedman and Roger Manley from the year 2004 .

action

The film begins with an introduction to the term mana and its occurrence in everyday life. The whole film is designed as a journey that begins with the Maori in New Zealand .

After visiting a medicine man of the Navajo - Indians in Arizona takes over foggy mountain top in Burma . There, the believers, gathered around a golden boulder, greet the full moon.

As the film progresses, the documentary filmmakers meet Japanese businesspeople celebrating an ancient cherry tree that is just in bloom, and an American Congressman who talks about magic-like energy transfer processes in connection with the US national flag .

A mass event is the voodoo ceremony in West Africa with which the return of the spirits of the dead is welcomed. At the end of the day, lowered cars drive through the New Mexico night because their owners think they can get power from these cars.
