Manuel Gama (born May 30, 1980 ) is a Portuguese pool player .

Career

Gama became Portuguese Junior Champion in 2001. In 2005 he became Portuguese men's champion. In 2007 he finished fifth at the Predator 10-Ball World Championship .

In 2010 Gama lost to David Alcaide in the 8-ball quarter-finals of the European Championship . At the EM 2011 he reached the semi-finals in 10-Ball, which he lost to the eventual European Champion Stephan Cohen with 3-8. Already in February 2011 he managed to reach the sixteenth finals at the 8-Ball World Cup . At the 9-ball World Cup , however, he was eliminated in the preliminary round. In the same year he also reached a Euro Tour quarter- finals at the French Open for the only time to date . However, he lost this against Niels Feijen 3: 9. At the 9-ball competition of the EM 2012Gama lost in the quarterfinals against the eventual European champion Francisco Díaz-Pizarro 8: 9. At the 9-Ball World Championships in 2012 and 2013 , he was eliminated in the last 64 round.

Together with Guilherme Sousa , Gama formed the Portuguese doubles at the World Cup of Pool in 2013 and 2014 . They were eliminated in the first round, in 2013 against England B , in 2014 against the later semi-finalists Albin Ouschan and Mario He from Austria .
